Best Practices For

Pet Owners During Emergencies

1
Stay Calm: In moments of crisis, it's essential to remain as calm as possible. Your pet may look to you for comfort and reassurance.
2
Contact Us @ 770-788-7387: If the emergency occurs during our business hours, call us immediately. If it's after hours, call the recommended emergency clinics for guidance.
3
Provide Information: When you contact us or the emergency clinic, be ready to provide information about your pet's symptoms and any relevant medical history. This helps the veterinary team prepare for your pet's arrival.
4
Safety First: Ensure your pet is in a safe and secure area to prevent further harm or injury.
5
Do Not Delay: In cases of severe injuries or conditions, do not delay seeking medical attention. Time can be critical in emergencies.
6
Follow Instructions: Listen carefully to the guidance provided by our team. Follow their instructions for transporting your pet or providing initial care.
7
Emergency Kit: Consider having a pet emergency kit at home with essential items like gauze, adhesive tape, antiseptic wipes, and your pet's medical records.
8
Prevention: While accidents happen, many emergencies can be prevented. Ensure your pet's environment is safe and free of hazards. Regular check-ups and vaccinations can also help prevent some emergencies.
