Countryside Equine

We at Countryside Equine Services intentionally strive to stay on the cutting edge of technology while maintaining personalized patient care. We created our practice to treat our patients and their owners as part of the family. Our clients aren't just numbers; they each have a story. It's our job to know your story while giving your horse the highest quality of care. Whether your animal is in need of routine care or emergency surgery, we are here for you.

When looking for the best horse veterinarian, you want one who will take the time to understand your horse's history, what's going on with your horse, what the horse is doing differently, and one who will try to figure out the 'why' behind the behavior. Here at Countryside Veterinary Services located in Covington, our equine vets believe in a thorough diagnostic before they administer any care. Our horse vets are experts in their field, able to help with everything from horse podiatry to sports medicine. When you partner with us, you can rest assured that your horse will be in the best of hands.

Our Modern Treatment Approach

Countryside’s Equine Services

Equine medical treatments have advanced significantly in the past few years. Today there are more innovative and far less complicated and invasive ways to keep your horse healthy. Understanding these modern medical options allows our veterinarians to “rethink” your horse’s needs and give you superior alternatives for an earlier and more precise diagnosis. In addition, many of these treatments that used to be limited to our hospital are now mobile and can be brought to your horse. Our goal is to help your horse maintain optimum performance while living a happy and healthy life, because the care your horse gets determines how he or she performs and lives.

Equine Emergencies

770-788-7387

Countryside's equine veterinarians are on call 24/7 to assist with after-hour emergencies. When calling the clinic after hours, you will be forwarded to our answering service. Please state the nature of the emergency and leave the best contact number where you can be reached. The message will reach the vet on call, and he or she will call you back promptly.

A medical emergency is something all horse owners dread and can be quite overwhelming. Until we arrive, do your best to remain calm. It is the best thing you can do to reassure and settle your distressed horse. It is also always a good idea to have our number posted in your barn in case there is an emergency and you are not around.
