At Countryside you will find comprehensive in-hospital surgery suites with specialized diagnostic technology, and an experienced team of veterinary surgeons performing routine to very complex surgical procedures. We understand that most animals will undergo a surgical procedure at some point during their lives, whether they might need to be spayed, have a tumor removed, ligament repaired, etc. and that it can be very stressful for their owners. We take every precaution, and use the most advanced surgical techniques and technology to ensure your loved one is safe and has a full recovery.

If you have questions or would like a consultation, call us at (770) 788-7387 or request an appointment online.

We perform pre-anesthetic Bloodwork before any surgical procedure.

Bloodwork can help detect health issues that may cause your pet to be at risk under anesthesia. Surgery can be a stressful and difficult process for owners and their pets and we want to give you every peace of mind that your pet’s safety is top of mind.

Treating Conditions Affecting Your Pet’s Mobility

Orthopedic Procedures

The veterinary surgeons at Countryside use specialized orthopedic techniques and technology to surgically treat conditions affecting the skeletal system. This can include bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and/or tendons. The goal of orthopedic procedures is to help your pet’s quality of life by improving their range of motion, stability and easing their pain.

Not Planning to Breed Your Pet

Spay & Neuter Procedures

Dog and cat spay and neuter surgeries are important if you do not intend to breed your pet. Neutering is the removal of the testes in male pets, while spaying is the removal of the uterus and ovaries in your female pets. By spaying or neutering your pet, you will be helping with our pet homeless crisis, since sadly, there are just not enough homes for all of the animals born each year. The cost of spaying or neutering is far less than the cost of having and caring for a litter.

Frequent Accidents in the House

Crystotomy Procedure

Does your dog or cat frequently have accidents in the house? A cystotomy is a procedure that can help you find the cause. Our surgeons will make a small incision that allows them to look at your pet’s bladder and make any repairs they may need.
