No One Wants To Lose Their Pet

The Importance of Microchipping

Whether you have a cat or a dog, every pet owner’s nightmare is the same - no one wants to lose their pet.

Countryside partners with Home Again Microchip service, which enables us to offer our clients the ability to microchip their pets. A microchip is your pet's permanent ID. The microchip can be scanned and all of the pet’s information, such as the owner’s name and address, will be retrieved if the animal becomes lost.

Microchipping is a simple and inexpensive procedure with no anesthetic required. The most important aspect of this piece of technology is that it's easy to identify a pet once it's lost. Animal shelters, animal control, and veterinarians constantly scan for microchips so pets can be quickly returned to their owners.

Do They Still Need a Microchip?

Lost dog - Importance of dog getting microchipped

It's easy for your pet to lose their collar or tags.

If your dog is taken, microchip registration will hold up in court as proof of ownership. The information cannot be changed without your permission or formal paperwork. There have been numerous accounts of pets being returned home months to years after their disappearance thanks to microchips!

Thinking of Traveling

Out of the country with your pet?

Microchipping is approved for international travel and is required for travel to Europe.
