MICROCHIPPING

Why Microchips are Important:

Whether you have a cat or a dog, every pet owner’s nightmare is the same - no one wants to lose their pet.

Countryside partners with Home Again Microchip service, which enables us to offer our clients the ability to microchip their pets. A microchip is your pet's permanent ID. The microchip can be scanned and all of the pet’s information, such as the owner’s name and address, will be retrieved if the animal becomes lost.

Microchipping is a simple and inexpensive procedure with no anesthetic required. The most important aspect of this piece of technology is that it's easy to identify a pet once it's lost. Animal shelters, animal control, and veterinarians constantly scan for microchips so pets can be quickly returned to their owners.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Microchips do not hurt your pet, do not require surgery and do not wear out.
  • Home Again registration is included when you have your pet microchipped at Countryside!
  • Your pet is registered for life once entered into the database - even if your membership isn't renewed.

MY PET WEARS A COLLAR WITH TAGS,
 THEY DON'T NEED A MICROCHIP.

It's easy for you pet to lose their collar or tags.
If your dog is taken, microchip registration will hold up in court as proof of ownership. The information cannot be changed without your permission or formal paperwork.  There have been numerous accounts of pets being returned home months to years after their disappearance thanks to microchips!

THINKING OF TRAVELING OUT OF THE COUNTRY WITH YOUR PET?

Microchipping is approved for international travel and is required for travel to Europe.

Dr. Childers took care of my dogs issue with her allergies. She took the time to explain what the issue was and the remedy to correct the issue. She is always informative.

ALL the staff at Countryside and friendly, professional, and caring. We enjoy coming in for routine visits but really appreciate the care and concern we were given during an emergency situation on a Saturday! Lynnie Fuller is so knowledgeable and caring as all the medical and support staff are.
