Dr. Billy Myers 

Dr. Billy Myers grew up in Snellville, Georgia on a small family farm. He graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary medicine in 1979. Billy practiced for eight years in Lawrenceville, Georgia, his mentor, the late Dr. P.J. Wall, in the same facility where he had cleaned cages throughout high school.  

With strong desire to own his own veterinary practice, Billy moved to Walton County where he started Countryside Hospital for Animals in 1991. He and his wife, Lee, who is also a veterinarian, live on a farm in Good Hope community with their dogs, cats, horses, and donkeys. 

He was the recipient for the 2005 GVMA Equine Veterinarian of the year,for outstanding and dedicated service to the veternarian profession and equine owners.   Dr. Myers is also a charter member of the Georgia Equine Rescue League and has served on the advisory board since it’s founding.

Dr. Myers has recently become active in the Christian Veterinary Mission Trips and has traveled to the Navejo Indian Reservation for the last 2 years.  While there he has preformed numerous pro bono surgeries the equine community.

Dr. Christina Dayton

Christina Dayton joined Countryside Hospital for Animals in February 2008. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2007 tracking in Equine medicine and surgery. Dr. Dayton enjoys small animal medicine, lameness and prepurchase exams on horses, as well as working on small ruminants including alpacas and goats. Dr. Dayton takes pleasure in wellness exams on all animals, large and small. 

Dr. Dayton enjoys veterinary medicine as well as extracurricular activities. She enjoys riding her horses in dressage and eventing. Dr. Dayton also enjoys exercising and crochet. Dr. Dayton is married to Adam, who is a journeyman plumber. They enjoy life on their small farm with all their four legged children including 3 dogs, 2 cats, 3 horses, and a rooster. Dr. Dayton is a member of the Rockdale County Equine Advisory Board, which helps organize equine activities in the area. Dr. Dayton enjoys being active in the equine community.

Dr. Lynnie Fuller

Dr. Fuller was raised in south Georgia.  He did his undergraduate studies in biology.  He initially managed two engineering and architectural supply firms. He also owned X-ray Processing Repair of Georgia.   After deciding to go into veterinary medicine he attended Georgia Southwestern on a Nasa Research grant. 

He later moved to Athens, Georgia and graduated from the university of Georgia College of Veterinary medicine in 1999.  During his studies at Athens, he worked for the PDRC and UGA doing raite research (ostrich) and equine anatomy studies.  He has practiced at Countryside Hospital since. 

Dr. Fuller enjoys the challenges a mixied practice offers and continues to pursue his passion of small animal surgery and medicine. 

He and his wife, Debbie have two rambunctious boys ages 10 and 12 . Debbie has been a coronary care nurse for almost 20 years and works at the Athens Regional Cardiac Lab.  They all enjoy the companionship of their 7 horses, 6 cats and 3 dogs.

Dr. Erin Brown

Dr. Erin Brown was raised in Grayson, Georgia.  She joined Countryside Hospital in June of 2005 after graduating  from the University of Georgia Vet School.  While in vet school, Dr. Brown focused her studies on mixed animal medicine with a special focus on cows, goats, and sheep. 

Dr. Brown enjoys the everyday variety that mixed animal practice has to offer.  She relishes all aspects of veterinary medicine;  from new puppy/kitten exams to labor & delivery; from basic equine wellness exams to after hours emergencies. 

Dr. Erin Brown  is married to Stephen, who is a log home builder.  Together they enjoy spending time outdoors, working in the yard, fishing in their pond and chasing their daughter around.  They have 3 dogs, 3 cats and 1 horse named Spector.
